TechGuide HQ is a free resource for people who want clear, reliable answers to everyday tech questions. We started the site because most help articles are either too technical, out of date, or buried under pages of filler before they get to the point. Our goal is simple: answer your question quickly, then walk you through the fix one step at a time.
What we cover
We publish practical how-to guides on smartphones (iPhone and Android), Windows PCs and laptops, popular apps and online services, and general tips that make technology easier to live with. Typical guides cover things like freeing up storage, speeding up a slow computer, backing up your data, fixing connection problems and getting more out of the apps you already use.
How we write our guides
Every guide is researched against the official documentation published by the company that makes the product, such as Apple Support, Google Help, Microsoft Support or the WhatsApp Help Center. We use the exact menu names and settings paths those sources describe, note where steps change between software versions, and link to the official page so you can double-check anything yourself. Each guide includes troubleshooting tips and answers to common follow-up questions.
Keeping guides up to date
Software changes constantly, and a guide that was correct last year can be wrong today. We review and update our articles as new versions of iOS, Android, Windows and popular apps are released. If you spot a step that no longer matches what you see on your device, please let us know and we will fix it.
Independent and reader-supported
TechGuide HQ is independent and is not affiliated with Apple, Google, Microsoft, Meta or any other company we write about. The site may display advertising, which helps keep every guide free to read. Advertising never influences the steps or recommendations in our guides.
